Catiesha Pierson Plants A Seed In The Longfellow Neighborhood Of South Minneapolis

It was all a dream. Long before The Dripping Root was conceptualized and the build-out began, artist and creative turned entrepreneur, Catiesha Pierson had the idea in her mind. Recipe creation, beverage and other menu options would be carefully executed in the Restaurant Guru featured entrepreneur’s home, before she hit the streets with her cooler, making drippy deliveries. As her social media following and clientele grew, Pierson prepared to turn the key into Minnesota’s very first Black owned Brick and Mortar juice bar.

Located on the 40th Street of Minnehaha Ave in the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Dripping Root is anchored as not only a cultural monument, but a sacred space for Black people and all people. With fresh, cold-pressed juice batches created daily, Pierson and her mother, Andrea supply their loyal patrons with whole, healthy food and beverage options Thursday through Sunday, from 9:00 AM until SOLD OUT.

The ambiance of The Dripping Root is incomparable. Filled with graffiti art and murals commissioned in partnership with local artists, specifically for the bar, and decorated with beautiful plants, customers naturally find themselves at home, when they walk through the doors. And if the good visual vibrations weren’t enough, The Dripping Root curates the most iconic playlists for their supporters to listen to while enjoying their favorite menu options. Securing features from FOX, the StarTribune, Mpls. St. Paul Magazine, Lavender Magazine and Twin Cities Live (to name a few), Pierson and The Dripping Root team is receiving the flowers and trophy they deserve
