Cameron Wright Resurges The Artistic Component Missing From Music, With Soul Deposits

Casting spells for liberation and delivering vocal sound baths: there are simply no binds, or bounds, when it comes to La Diva who has been celebrated, as Cameron Wright. Since rising to prominence in the industry as a singer-songwriter, the “My Love” (lead story-line single in 2018, for the American musical drama television series STAR, on FOX) producer and composer has worked unapologetically to bring diversity to the intersections of art, creating community where it has been absent. In the same year, The Machine would share their gift on the iconic Coachella stage, supporting Beyoncé for a historic, creative extravaganza. Soon after, the genius that is Cameron would launch a digital community for Black existence, LIBERXTED. The emergence of LIBERXTED would serve as the precursor for the rebirth of the Renaissance the masses are experiencing today, in the 2020s.

Cameron’s artistic extension is directly from God—if you have been chosen by the Supreme Being to have ears that hear what most cannot, and skin to feel what most will never, then you understand this science, that even trumps fact, cannot be debated. From their avant-garde single “Don’t Make Me” (2018), to a national phenomenon EP “MAGIC” (2018), flowing into their love-filled single “Still” (2019) that would vibrate the universe until La Diva segued into their critically acclaimed debut album, “Revelations” (2020), and finally blessing souls with “Take 5: A-Side/B-Side” (2021), Cameron Wright has demonstrated what it means to have no limitations. Wright’s voice is no different from the voices heard in the hymns and scores the international icon, Alvin Ailey choreographed his signature work “Revelations” to. Simply put, Cameron’s voice is a spiritual libation, exactly what the world needs; voice of the past, voice of the present, and voice of the future.

Cameron has communicated before that “imagination is the living embodiment of possibility.” With that expressed, have you imagined a community where undeniable Black talent, rooted in love is supported, so that it may transition from the margins—taking its rightful place, in the center of the book, for the world to read, experience and be healed by? QUEER pride, art imitating life, life imitating art, creative letters written to aid the dreams of Black folks, echos of possibility, visions, sonic sounds, vicarious experiences, and bundles of so many other things that will exist across lifetimes has been fused into the shell we know as Cameron Wright, The Great. Give thanks, to the beings who prepared altars to speak a soul like Cameron into existence. Is their creation in vain? No, of course not!

Please, for the sake of art and humanity, give artists not only their flowers, but the support (especially financial) they deserve, so they may continue to produce what we consume, love and enjoy. Purchase, stream and share Cameron’s work and music today!
